How to Have a Courageous Conversation 2022

An Invitation for Interpersonal and Church-Wide Dialogue

Whether church-wide or interpersonal, we all find ourselves having to have difficult conversations.

Courageous Conversations is a four-session series designed to help local churches structure dialogues to move beyond impasses or hold conversations we’d rather avoid by discovering how to listen well and learn from others.

In this course you’ll explore concepts that will help your church engage in a range of conversations, from the color of the carpet or a thorny social issue.

Concepts Include:

  • The Jesus Model
  • Space for Growing in Christ
  • Techniques for Facilitation
  • Dialogue vs. Debate
  • Societal, Political, and Neurological Dynamics

And many more!

Each session is accompanied by a video segment, along with suggestions for “action steps” and questions for reflection and response.

This teaching series will have an online forum as a place to share your challenges, hopes, and celebrations in ministry.

By the end of this course you will have the tools needed to nurture disciples who are willing to engage in difficult conversations, and model for the world how to respectfully disagree in love.
